Since
its establishment in in 1964 in Houston, Texas by J.E. "Buggs"
Threadgill, Threadgill Sheet Metal Works has become one of the
oldest and most respected companies of its kind in the Texas Gulf
Coast Region. Known for high quality work and the ability to tackle
complex custom designs other companies turn away from, TSMW built a
solid reputation on Quality & Craftsmanship and a commitment to
the job long after the last nail had been driven.
In 1996 TSMW moved
from its long time location in the Spring Branch area to Cypress,
Texas. In January 1999, TSMW entered the next chapter of its
evolving history. James "Wayne" Threadgill, the founder's
son, assumed the leadership role. While keeping an attentive
eye on
the quality service that built the TSMW reputation--he made a
commitment
to increase TSMW's presence in the expanding metal roofing and
building markets. The first ever TSMW web site went live May of 1999
and has proven one of the company's most valuable assets.
Conventional print marketing materials followed and sales increased
dramatically. In the past eighteen
months, TSMW has doubled in size, updated its office equipment,
purchased new metal working equipment,
and added sales
staff in Dallas, Texas. To top off a remarkable 1999, TSMW was
featured in the February 2000 issue of Roofing
Contractor magazine as one of The
Most Intriguing Roofing Contractors of 1999.
As
the new millennium began, TSMW worked to consolidate its growth and
prepared to
move forward. In Spring 2000, TSMW moved in a new facility with 3000 square
feet of shop space, ample concrete paved yards on both sides and
1000 square feet of office space. Since relocating TSMW has been
preparing to move into the manufacture and supply
of specialty copper items and expand its markets in metal panel
systems and composition roofing. And
in January 2001,
TSMW launched the first ever e-commerce application
that features online ordering for custom fabricated copper items
made to order,
including copper bay window covers and entry awnings.
Quality &
Craftsmanship is more than a motto. Together with the commitment to
stand behind our work, this approach to customer satisfaction
is--above all--the foundation of our success and will continue to
insure our success now and into the future. |
